The 40th Anniversary of the 1969 MANSON Murders and many media based projects are planned for 2009.

It's November of 2008 and most media outlets are already planning special programs to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the climax to the incredible 1960's.

Already crippled by an all out war in Vietnam and a domestic rebellion on the home front, on August 9th, 1969, the United States got its first taste of a new kind of experience, the bizarre world of Charles Manson.

Over the next 40 years, stories relating to the notorious MANSON Family would be exploited in the mass media, but the Manson Family Murder case still remains, to a certain extent, an unexplained mystery. Why did Charles Manson allow a young filmmaker Robert Hendrickson to travel with and film his Gang over a two and a half year period? Why has the Manson Family's real connection to the happening 1960's never been explained, except to proclaim that Charles Manson killed the 60's. Now that Barack Obama has become the first Black President of the United States, wouldn't it be interesting to see just how the youth of the 1960's generation made that possible 40 years ago?

The MANSON film archive is now available!

The now legendary 1973 MANSON documentary film and the recently completed "Inside the MANSON Gang" motion picture, as well as Robert Hendrickson's entire Manson Family archive, with his expertise, are now being offered for use in making some really important media project(s).

That's correct, many hours of raw footage and sound recordings, that have been buried in a vault for over 35 years, as well as two completed movies, are now available for ALL media. It should be noted that the 1973 Academy Award Nominated MANSON, though a huge commercial success via US theatrical distribution, has never even been shown on cable or free TV. Also, except for the New York Independent Film and Video Festival showing in Los Angeles and the Cologne Conference, TV and Film Festival showing in Germany, "Inside the MANSON Gang" is yet to be shown in theaters anywhere in the world.

The reason for Hendrickson's decision to now make his entire 1960's/1970's film collection available is prompted by the realization that it'snow or never for the most significant chapter in America's history to now be revealed with a renewed sense of truth and authenticity. There was and still is so much more to be learned from the Crime of the Century and its related turbulent times. The horrendous Vietnam War, the battle in American streets for equality, and a younger generation's total rebellion against a corrupt government, were only upstaged by the Tate/LaBianca Massacre. When it comes down to the outrageous 60's and early 70's, historical films have only scratched the surface. Truth be told, the great struggle of the 1960's only ended on October 4, 2008, when the final barrier to true equality was actually torn down.
